For Our Patients
Our team wants to ensure they deliver the best care possible to all of our patients.
Our new office, built in 2007, has the most modern technology available in dentistry. It was designed to make giving you the best in dental care as easy and comfortable as possible.
These technologies have also allowed us to become a more environmentally friendly office. Our new digital x-ray system means no chemicals to be disposed of and no packaging added to land fills with the added bonus of up to 90% reduction in radiation to patients. With computers in every operatory we strive to become paperless office, and have established an in house recycling program for when this cannot be avoided. We have built in water purification systems and
an amalgam separator to ensure water quality both in our office and in the environment. All of this because we think everything we do matters.
Your First Visit
At your first routine visit to our office the doctor and his assistant will conduct a very thorough examination. Using a series of x-rays, photos and intra-oral examination they will develop an individualized treatment plan for you. You will then be seen by one of our hygienists to begin your journey to optimum oral health.
There are of course those patients who arrive at our office under emergency circumstances. In these cases our goal is always to relieve them of any discomfort as soon as possible. This usually involves a very specific examination and x-ray of the area concerned and a plan to get you feeling better as soon as possible.
Whether you arrive at our office under routine circumstances or an emergency you will be asked to complete a health history form to ensure we do not provide any treatment that might complicate other health concerns you may have. Please be prepared to provide contact names for your family doctor and a list of any medications you may be taking.
Payments and Dental Insurance
We provide long term comprehensive dental care and you will always get a complete estimate prior to receiving your dental care. We will help you to understand your dental insurance and most dental procedures will be billed directly to your plan. We will help you to submit predermination of benefits for extensive treatment and help you to understand what portions may be covered. Any portion of dental treatment not covered by insurance payment is due at time of treatment and can be paid by Visa, Mastercard, Debit and Cash.
Rescheduling appointments
Your dental appointment is considered confirmed at the time of booking. This means we are reserving time with our doctor, assistant and hygienist, as well as operatory space as required. We will be sterilizing and preparing the operatory space as well as all the equipment and materials required for your procedure. We therefore request that if you are unable to attend the scheduled appointment you contact our office with 48 hours notice to reschedule. As a courtesy we will notify you 3 days prior by email reminder if you provide our office with a current email address, alternatively we will telephone 2 days prior to remind you of the appointment you have booked.
Our policies are designed to make the best possible dental care reasonably priced for you and your family. We strive at all times to keep our costs down so that we can maintain reasonable fees.
