BOTOX

BOTOX is a treatment that can soften wrinkles. Repeated muscular contractions such as frowning and squinting usually form lines known as dynamic wrinkles or "lines in motion".

BOTOX can work by relaxing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. This can result in your face having a more relaxed appearance.

What is BOTOX?

BOTOX is a cosmetic procedure that may be able to temporarily reduce and soften crow's feet, frown lines, forehead wrinkles, upper lip pucker lines, and neck bands.

How does BOTOX work?

When administered by our staff here at Ocean Dental in Burnaby, BOTOX injections generally take a few minutes. The BOTOX is injected into a specific muscle, blocking the signal from the nerve to that particular muscle. This can result in the skin in that area looking smoother and less wrinkled than before, while the rest of the face remains unaffected. The results can last anywhere from 3 to 4 months. BOTOX doesn't involve any post-treatment downtime.
